Seek Ye First The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness

During the Sermon on the Mount where our Lord Jesus was advising people who worry about food, clothes, drinks and needs things of life, he said in the gospel of Matthew 6:33, “Instead, be concerned above everything else with the Kingdom of God and with what he requires of you, and He will provide you with all these other things”.

Sometimes, we hear people who say when they have made it in life then they will serve God. By making it, such individuals mean having money to live the good life and buy whatever they want.

The question now is how easy is it to make it and serve God? Stories abound of many known and wealthy individuals, businesspersons, actors, actresses, musicians, sportsmen and women, etc who have the wealth but indulge in destructive habits that sometimes lead to their death.

There are those who believe you cannot serve God and become wealthy because as a businessperson, one has to engage in vices to achieve and those who engage in vices cannot serve God. Such people have the motto, “if you cannot beat them, join them”.

But we see Jesus tell us in scripture to first seek God’s Kingdom and God will provide all our needs including wealth. So what exactly did Jesus mean by this?

What Jesus meant is contained in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the Lord in everything you do, and He will show you the right way”.

Now what most people are unaware of is the power that resides inside of them as given by God Almighty. This is possible because we are created in God’s image and likeness. God calls men gods in Psalm 82:6, so we are able to do the things God does as evidenced by the many astounding miracles of Jesus.

For instance, Jesus walked on water, turned water into wine, raised people from the dead, fed over 4,000 and 5,000 people at different times, cast out demons, instructed the wind and waves to be calm, cursed a fruitless tree that withered and so on and so forth.

Every Christian who has faith can perform these same miracles! This is a statement of fact. But you cannot have the kind of faith to do such great feats unless you have connected your mind with the mind of God.

There is only one way to connect your mind with the mind of God and that is through your thoughts. This is exactly how you seek first the Kingdom of God and what He requires of you.

For if you are able to connect your mind with the mind of God, you will always be directed in His righteousness and you will always be able to have whatsoever you want!

This is only possible when you are able to think sanctified thoughts. The individual who connects his mind with the mind of God will achieve whatsoever he or she wants.

Whatever you think consistently will happen and when you connect your mind with God, He will direct you to right achievement consistently too via your thoughts.

You will come to understand that the way to genuine achievement in life is when you do not engage in wrongdoing but are able to trust God completely by faith because God can never fail. It is that simple and it is very possible for those who believe.

This is why Jesus said seek first the kingdom of God and what He requires and God will provide what you need.

Focusing On What Is Important

The Pareto Principle, also known as the 80-20 rule or the law of the vital few or the principle of factor sparsity states that for many events, roughly 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes.

Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto, after whom this law is named, observed back in 1906 that 20% of the population owned 80% of the land in Italy; he developed the principle by observing that 20% of the pea pods in his garden contained 80% of the peas.

Over the years, this principle appears to have taken the manner of a natural phenomenon because of its application to many areas of human enterprise, including but not limited to customer sales, customer relationship management, human developmental biology, health care and even criminology studies that show that 80% of crimes are committed by 20% of criminals!

The focus of this article using this principle has to do with what we desire to achieve in life. Everyday, we have so many activities in which we are engaged. Without a conscious effort to account for each activity and the value it adds, it is so easy to lose one’s self and focus in the midst of all these activities.

By value here, I mean every activity should be scrutinized to determine whether it is leading us to our goals in life or not. If you do decide to take this seriously, you will discover that it is roughly about 20% of your activities that are focused on what you want to accomplish in life.

Most of the other events representing the remaining 80% will just be on mundane things that have taken your time for the day.

It now behoves on you to concentrate your energies on those 20% of activities because it is in their doing that you will get to your destination, purpose or life’s goal.

In life, so many things are required but only few are important. A typical example of this is found in sacred scriptures (Luke 10:38–42) when our Lord Jesus visited Martha, Mary and Lazarus in their home.

While Mary sat down and was listening to Jesus speak, Martha was busy preparing what was to be used in entertaining Jesus. Martha later got upset that Mary was not coming out to help her and she then came and complained to Jesus to ask Mary to come give her a helping hand she was the only one handling everything.

Jesus then responded (Luke 10: 41-42), “Martha, Martha, you are full of care and troubled about such a number of things.  Little is needed, or even one thing only: for Mary has taken that good part, which will not be taken away from her”. (Bible in Basic English).

 As painful and hard hitting as that statement could have been to Martha as that was not the response she was expecting, Jesus was passing a very important message to her as to every other Christian and indeed everyone else.

That message is also found in Jesus’ response to satan’s temptation in the wilderness (Luke 4:4), “It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God”.

Jesus’ message to Martha and the rest of us can equally be applied thus: in all the many different activities we do engage in from second to second every moment of our lives, there are only very few things that are very important that we need to focus our attention on.

As I said at the start of this article, if you have a purpose or an objective in life to accomplish, you will need to scrutinize your activities and focus more of your efforts on those activities that will give the greatest results.

As I will continue to emphasise, it all begins with your thought process. You can achieve all you desire as long as your thoughts are predominantly on what you want; thus will your actions move you in the right direction to achieve your purpose.

In Reality, There Are No Hopeless Situations

In life, people encounter different kinds of challenges of varying severity. While some are able to overcome, some are seemingly unable to make progress towards resolving their challenges.

It is even possible to see two different individuals facing the same challenge and while one resolves it with finality, the other remains steeped in the challenge and appears to have no hope of a resolution.

So what really makes the difference between these individuals? It is actually in their perception of the challenge in their minds.

If you have been reading my write-ups of late, you would have noticed a trend where I constantly refer to how our thoughts give direction to our lives.

The difference between the individual who is able to overcome every challenge in his or her life and the one who is not is simply in the way they see the problem in their minds via their thoughts.

According to Dr Caroline Leaf, human brain researcher and author of the best selling book Who Switched off my brain?, when God created us, we were wired up with faith based emotions (love, peace, joy, etc) but we humans learn our fear based emotions (anxiety, fear, doubt, etc).

Drawing from Dr Leaf’s comments, it is obvious to see that humans by their very nature create their own problems. Dr Leaf has further said that after God, our thoughts are the second most power tool we have!

For those who do not know, we have control over our thoughts. Now what all these means is that by your very thoughts, you can get out of any situation because according to Dr Caroline Leaf, there is a part of your brain called the free will where you can process what comes from the outside into us.

Now as long as you are able to consciously screen off negative thoughts or fear based emotions before they get into you, only positive thoughts and faith based emotions would pass.

What happens next is that you will naturally attract into your life the things you focus your thoughts on. Unfortunately, on the other hand, if negative thoughts and fear based emotions enter into your system through your brain, it will also naturally attract your very fears into your life.

Your brain/mind would not filter negative thoughts out but would accept whatever gets in as long as you consciously allow that to happen. This explains why many people fall sick and remain so for a long time because they have consciously allowed it via their thoughts.

It also explains why many people struggle through life to get things done. Their thought life is the one thing they need to work on to change their lives for good.

Accordingly to the late American playwright and Congresswoman Clare Booth Luce, “there are no hopeless situations; there are only people who have grown hopeless about them”.

In essence, what this means is that there are really no hopeless situations in life. You have absolute control over your life’s situations and you can turn around any situation in your life for good.

It also means you can achieve whatsoever you desire without struggling for it. It all begins with your thought life. Isn’t God our Father wonderful to have given us this beautiful gift of thoughts?

It is His greatest gift to humanity and we should be grateful to Him always.

Everyone Is Born A Champion

God is fair to every human being he created. Even though this statement is a fact, unfortunately, not everyone will agree with it.

If you are one such person who thinks God is unfair, at the end of this article, you will agree with me that God is, always has and always will be fair to everyone.

This is the reason I chose the title for this article: “Everyone is born a champion”.

We are all born under different circumstances in different societies in different parts of the world: some are born into real affluence and are able to get all they want that costs money.

Some are born into middle class homes where they are able to afford some good things of life while others are born into poverty where all they are used to is their parents inability to afford the basics of life – things as simple as food, shelter and clothing are a luxury for such individuals.

From records of achievements of men from all walks of life, history has proven over and over again that it is not the circumstances of the early days of your life that matter but what you are able to make out of it.

Men from poor homes and middle class homes are able to move from obscurity to become people of great wealth and influence. This leads me to believe that everyone is born a champion but only few are able to discover the real secret and use it well.

Some may be tempted to think that it is because such men from struggling backgrounds were able to be at the right place at the right time. This may be true but it would mean God is not fair to everyone and this would contradict my statement at the beginning of this piece.

Some may attribute this success to luck, connection, intellectual brilliance, hard work, determination, etc etc.

While on the surface this may appear true, there is something common to men who achieve legitimate wealth and success in life that demonstrates God’s love and fairness to all humans.

How do I know this? Let us look at Sacred scripture for the answers. In Genesis 1 in the story of creation, we see God creating things by word of mouth or by his command. God said and it happened over and over again.

Now in Genesis 1: 26a (Good News Bible), it is written, “Then God said, and now we will make human beings; they will resemble us”. Now the question is, in what way do humans resemble God? It is in the power to create by word of command. It is also in the spirit of man that is immortal or cannot die.

When someone dies physically, his spirit or soul never dies but goes back to the Creator, who is God.

Now since in one way we resemble God by ability to create by word of command, it means we can achieve or create whatever we desire in life by this means. So why does everyone not do it? And why is it that not everyone who knows and uses words of command is able to achieve?

The answer again, is found in Sacred Scripture. In Proverbs 4: 23, it is written, “Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts”. This means even when you say words, as long as your thoughts are not consistently focused on what you have said, your life will take the direction of your dominating thoughts.

This is the very reason why majority of people are struggling to get by in life. It is not because they don’t work hard enough or don’t have money or don’t have connections or enough opportunities, but it is because they don’t think the right thoughts to shape their lives in the right direction.

As the book of Proverbs has told us, it is your thoughts that have creative power no matter what your present circumstances are. Your thoughts can change everything for good if you would just learn how to use it properly.

We are told in Psalm 127:2, “It is useless to work so hard for a living, getting up early and going to bed late. For the Lord provides for those He loves, while they are asleep”.

If God provides for those He loves, then the question now is, who are those God loves? We find the answer again in the words of King David of Israel in Psalm 37:25, “I am an old man now; I have lived a long time, but I have never seen a good man abandoned by the Lord or his children begging for food”.

Everyone of age of reason should know who a good man is and so we know that the Lord provides for a good man. For those who still do not know, a good man is one who is not engaged in wrongdoing or anything that is contrary to God’s law.

If you are still having a hard time figuring out who a good person is, then it is someone whose words, actions or inactions DO NOT cause pain or hurt to others or to even him or herself.

A good person therefore thinks the right thoughts always and wishes everyone well including himself always. So it means the individual who is good and who thinks the right thoughts will always achieve whatever s/he sets out to do in life.

If you still think God is unfair, I have demonstrated to you that it is not your circumstances of life but your thoughts that determine the direction of your life.

Whether you are intelligent or someone considered unintelligent, rich or poor, it is your thoughts that shape your life even more than your actions. Anyone who is able to take control of his or her thoughts can use the creative power of word of command to achieve anything in life.

Do you still think God is unfair? You will have to change your thoughts to move ahead in life for everyone is born a champion not by their circumstances but by their dominating thoughts that move them in the direction of life they willingly choose themselves.

No matter your situation today, change your thinking and it will change your life. It’s that simple!

Some Powerful Ways To Rake In Millions of Dollars of Internet Income (3)

(d) Work at Home programs where you have a website: in this case you usually provide a product or service from a personalised website. Such product or service is something in which you have an expertise and could be anything from gardening to cooking to home improvement to music to games, etc.

A website is your address on the internet like we have for google.com, yahoo.com, etc. You will need a registrar to register a domain name of your choice that is available for use (e.g. google.com) at an annual fee and you will also need a web host to hold your web pages that will contain information on your product or service. The web pages are hosted at a monthly fee depending on the web hosting company.

Some companies handle both services for you but the choice of hosting company is usually determined by the kind of service they provide, e.g. bandwidth available to host your pages particularly when a lot of customers come visiting at the same time.

Others issues to consider include the type of software and other simple scripts available to the user. Some provide website templates and others provide the What You See Is What You Get or WYSIWYG type website builders to help you build your web pages easily if you have little or no experience.

Some programs help you to build your website FREE once you join them while in other cases, you will have to build it yourself or get a professional to do it at a cost depending on what you want on the site and the number of pages.

You will also need to have a payment processor with which to receive payment for your products or services. There are a number of such processors and the one to choose will depend on the payment type(s) you wish to receive and whether the processor’s customer service is responsive to your needs when they arise.

As the site owner you will be responsible for advertising the site to get customers. The mode of advertising is similar for affiliate programs and this is where most people are unable to make headway to online success because they are unaware of the methods and manner of advertising available to get customers.

I want you to note here that you must have to make the advertising as targeted as possible to the customer you have in mind if you are to earn income from this method or from affiliate programs. For instance, you cannot be marketing information on sale of dog food to customers who are interested in software.

You cannot also be marketing information on sale of real estate to a group of people whose main interest is music equipment. The more targeted your advertising, the greater the chance of reaching the right audience to make a sale.

Some advertising methods are free while some require an investment to get results. Examples are:

i. Website submission to directories: e.g. google, yahoo, bing, lycos, exact 

seek, entire web, alexa, etc. Some of these submissions to search engines are 

free to do while some require some payment for inclusion in their directories.

While this could be a free source of good traffic to your site, you are advised not to spam the free submission directories. By spam, I mean submitting your site several times within a short period. 

If you engage in this, your website would be blacklisted from search engines and you lose the opportunity for free traffic to your site to market your product or service.

The ideal resubmission period is usually monthly or every 30 days.

ii. Article writing for advertising: in this method, you usually write content of value to readers and submit articles to article directories.

As the article author, there is usually a resource box at the end of the article where you are allowed a link back to your website for visitors who read your article to click to see what is on offer.

Please note however that it is important that you read the rules of article submission for each directory you submit to so you are not accused of spamming. Spamming here would mean deliberately and continuously advertising your site or affiliate link directly in the article body without giving any useful information to readers.

It would also mean submitting the same article more than once and could get you banned from the site. To get your readers to be interested in clicking your link in the resource box, ensure to give them valuable information that does sound overly advertising.

The resource box could contain information on free software, e-book or some other gift of value that is linked to your site.

I would also advise against plagiarism, and by this I mean going to other article directories to take someone else’s article and posting on another site with you as the author in the resource box. This will certainly get you banned once it is discovered. You do not have to take advantage of people to succeed online.

iii. Classified advertising: you can advertise your website or affiliate links on classified sites. Some are free while others require a little investment. What is important again is to be targeted in your advertising to ensure the right people get to see your site or affiliate link.

iv. Reciprocal linking: this method would work if you are a website owner. You can exchange links with sites of similar content (e.g. work at home programs) for higher search engine ranking and increased visibility for your site. By this I mean you place a link to another site with similar content on your webpage while the other site owner also places a link to your site on their website. Usually, a links page is created to keep a record of all outbound links placed on your site.

You are advised to focus on exchanging links with sites with similar content as yours since search engines would not rank your site higher for content of any kind.

v. Forum advertising: this has to be a forum with members looking for the kind of information you want to advertise. Usually, the advert that has a link to your site is placed in the signature and not in the main body of your posts in the forum, which would be considered as spamming.

you have to read the forum rules before posting and ensure what you post is of value to readers because when they begin to see you as an expert from your posts, that would make them look at your signature and then click on your link to your affiliate program or website.

So, giving valuable information is the keyword here to succeed in this type of advertising. Some forum also offer paid advertising services to their members.

vi. Social media advertising: this is very popular nowadays because advertising on some of the social sites is effective because the advert is targeted at the right audience by various demographics (country, age, sex, interests, etc). Some of the advertising methods are free while some require an investment but it is a good advertising source for online marketers.

However, ensure to read the terms of the site owners before placing your adverts.

vii. Advertising through list building: in this method, what you do is offer a FREE and valuable resource (e-book, software, report) to users in exchange to sign up for your newsletter.

Thereafter, you then begin to send them valuable information on tools and resources to help them succeed online. At the end of your newsletter, you provide them a chance to sign up for your offer on your site or affiliate program.

This method requires a bit of automation and by this, I mean having an autoresponder e-mail software with which you prepare your messages of value in advance to send to subscribers to your newsletter on days you have scheduled.

While this method works for new comers to the internet who sign up for your newsletter, it may not work for experienced marketers who will need a lot more convincing to do business with you.

You will usually need to provide a way for subscribers to opt out of your newsletter at the bottom of each mail so that you look professional always. There should also be a link from your autoresponder to your personal e-mail so you can respond promptly to those who want to ask questions on your offer or information.

There are many other interesting ways people use online to advertise and market their affiliate programs and websites.

These are some of the ways people earn very good income nowadays on the internet and any one can do it. Fortunately, there are programs on the internet that have all these powerful ways of making money online all in one program.

Now let me recap. As I said at the beginning of this article and if you have taken time to follow and understand all I have said here, you will see that you will succeed online if you pay attention to the under listed:         

(1) You must have the right mental attitude required for success. This is very important or else you will give up at the slightest challenge.

(2) You will have to invest some money either at the beginning or at some point to grow your business. Again, never let anyone tell you anything else because that would be incorrect.

(3) You must have valuable information because that is what most of the people who do not succeed online are in need of. With valuable information, you will definitely succeed online and see how easy it is to earn income there.

(4) You will definitely need a system in place most of the time to succeed. As writer and poet Oscar Wilde put it, “Success is a science; if you have the conditions, you will get the result”.

Some Powerful Ways To Rake In Millions of Dollars of Internet Income (2)

(1(3)   Traditional Home Business: this is one of the most common ways of earning income online for most people and this is why I call it traditional home business.

Just like the aforementioned online income opportunities, it gives you the opportunity to earn income from the comfort of your home thereby allowing you freedom to attend to issues like caring for your kids/other needy persons as well as attending to household chores.

This type is very common with work at home mums and it falls into 2 categories where you either work for a company or you work for yourself.

(a(4)   Working for a company from home: Where you work for a company, you will first need to apply and once approved, you will need an e-mail address to which a notification of the jobs to be done would be sent to you.

You then log onto the company’s website and execute the job. Thereafter, you will be paid as agreed when you signed up for the work at home job.

Examples of such jobs are work at home surveys and data entry. Some of them like the survey companies also give other opportunities for you to earn additional income when you refer others.

(b(5)   Article writing: I separate this income opportunity so people don’t confuse it with article writing and submission as a means of advertising your business, which I will explain later on.

In this method, there are article submission directories that also have a service where they pay you to write for them.

You will have to apply to be considered and once approved, you can earn some good money from this. Some sites pay as much as between $2,000 to $5,000 monthly to their writers.

Usually what they look for is a writer that has good command of the English Language, has unique and valuable content to offer as the sole copyright owner. 

The company usually retains the right to the written material and have conditions for their writers to follow if such writers want to use these materials on other article submission sites.

(6)  Blogging: A blog is a website or mini directory you own where you write your own articles of value to readers and also have total control over all of the content on the site.

You can also use articles of similar message written by others but you must as a professional and ethically give due credit to the original writer in the resource box, which I will explain later on.

People make money from blogging by advertising their links to affiliate programs on the blog where visitors can click to see and join. 

Another way they make money is by placing adverts people placed with companies like google, kontera, etc on their blogs; and when people click on these adverts to take a certain action as agreed, the blog owner is paid. Payment to the blog owner for visitors clicking and taking action on such adverts is called Cost Per Action (CPA).

There are free blog sites and there are those you need a personal website for, which means you will need to pay for a domain name and hosting of the site. I will explain this further down this article.

(d(7)   Affiliate programs: in affiliate programs, you work from home either for a company or you work for yourself as the affiliate program owner. When you work for a company, you will be given either products or service to get people to see and take some action. 

You are also given marketing tools and a sales page similar to that of other affiliates but with your own personalised affiliate number to promote to earn income to be sure it was you who brought the customer.

The company usually pays you for people you refer who take some action as agreed that qualifies for payment, e.g. a sale, providing contact details or clicking any of your marketing tools like banners and text links.

In some cases, you are expected to own your own website to place the marketing tools so that you are paid for the agreed action taken by the people you refer.

Where a sale is required through your affiliate link to enable you earn a commission, the company handles the customers’ orders, payment, inventory, shipping and commission payments to you and other affiliates. 

Your job is to drive customers or traffic to be able to see the product or service through your membership link.

There are affiliate programs that require payment of a monthly subscription by members to benefit from products or a service or services within the program at a discounted rate.

Examples are those where you are allowed to buy everyday/regular items like household goods (toiletries, cosmetics, etc) as well as clothing and accessories, DVDs, electronics, etc at discounted rates as long as you remain a member.

When you refer other members to join such programs to enjoy similar benefits, the company pays you also for as long as your referral remains a paying member.

There are other such monthly membership programs where you benefit from exclusive services of a nature that would help you earn substantial additional income; and you are paid for referring new members to join also and you are also paid when they join to benefit from the additional income opportunities within the program.

I want to state a very important point here for you dear reader to note. One major reason most people do not succeed with affiliate programs is because they do not understand what constitutes a good affiliate program. 

In essence, a good affiliate program is one that would provide you with tools and resources to succeed.

Now by tools, I refer to banners and text links containing your affiliate information; more importantly by resources I mean the program owners will support and provide you with adequate information on effective ways to drive customers or traffic to your affiliate sales pages.

Some of these ways are free while others would require an investment. These are meant to ensure that you are able to make sales or get customers to take the agreed action for you to earn commissions.

If you do not get these kinds of support from an affiliate program, then as a new comer it will be most challenging achieving online success with them. This is the number one reason most people stop being members of affiliate programs.

Another salient feature of good affiliate programs is that they pay you not only on sales you make directly but on sales made by those you refer directly (called downlines), sometimes up to 3 – 5 levels deep.

But take note that what is very important is the support provided to help you succeed.

Now where you work for yourself as the affiliate owner, the process is more or less the same with you as the company handling all the other work while your affiliates handle getting customers to visit their affiliate sites to earn a commission.

Some companies have made the work easier for affiliate owners by handling the customers’ orders, payment, inventory, shipping as well as paying the affiliates of the program. 

So, all the affiliate program owner has to do is create a powerful product and register with such companies and an agreed amount is shared between the affiliate program owner and the company.

I have to state here that what is usually accepted for this type are digital or electronic products where the customer can have instant access to the product upon payment, e.g. software, e-books, music, ringtones, etc. That is indeed the power of the internet!
