The One Secret Behind Answered Prayers (1)

People have many different reasons to pray - to thank God for his mercies, to ask for protection, forgiveness for sins, a child, good health, a job, for loved ones, friends, etc. Very many people ALWAYS pray for wealth, especially financial.

There are those whose lifestyles show that they are very devoted to serving God; however, their prayers for the good things of life, especially financial, do not get answered. Those who know them are at a loss and wonder why with all the devotion their prayers are not answered.

There are even those who would mock them and say “they carry on as if they are the holiest people, yet they have very little to show for it. Maybe they are paying for their sins they commit when no one sees them and they then pretend in the public to be devoted.”

The situation could get so frustrating that the people in the midst of such challenges keep begging God to forgive their sins and at a time, they would start believing someone has likely cast a negative spell on them.

At times when they look around, they see people who have very little devotion to the things of God doing very well financially, and that further baffles them. They cannot understand why blessings go to such people who are less committed to the things of God and not to them who have spent years and years serving God faithfully.

Eventually, some resign themselves to fate and believe their situation cannot change. They accept their current situation as final, keep struggling financially and never hesitate to pour out their sorrow to anyone who cares to listen.

So what really is the problem with such people? What “sin” have they committed that makes it look like they are under a curse in spite of their open devotion to God? Before I proceed, I want to state that if your situation is as one I just described above, please do not lose hope.

If in the past you have been devoted to God without getting your prayers answered, please continue to remain devoted because that is what God wants.

I also want you to know that no situation that is irredeemable. This particular post on the wealth secrets blog, the earlier ones and the ones to come provide all the details you need to achieve genuine wealth in life. It is just information you need that would make the difference for you.

Pay particular attention to this post and read every other post here because it would open you to things that may baffle you initially, but as you read and apply the message, you would get your desired results. It may baffle you because what we humans need to do to achieve in life is simple, but most of the time we expend ourselves chasing things that take us in the wrong direction.

Ok, enough said. I guess the message is clear as crystal. Hebrews 11 verse 6 of the Good News Bible says, “No one can please God without faith, for whoever comes to God MUST have faith that God exists and REWARDS those who seek Him.” From this revelation, you can see why I said earlier that if you have been devoted to God in the past, please continue to remain so.

However, notice also that the word ‘faith’ is used. That is precisely the key word that makes all the difference between answered prayers and unanswered prayers. God’s word says no one can please God without faith! I’m sure many who read the preceding sentence would claim to have faith and then insist that their prayers are still not being answered!

If that is your case as you read, do not be in a hurry please. It is very easy to get emotional about the issue and then miss the valuable point here. I therefore advise and plead with you to leave whatever notions you have in mind and keep your mind open to get the message here. As soon as you fully understand it, nothing and no one except God Almighty can stop you from becoming an achiever.

Let’s look at what faith means. Legendary author Napoleon Hill gives several meanings to the word faith, and I quote:

(1) “Faith is a state of mind that may be induced by self-suggestion.”

(2) “Faith is the ‘external elixir’ which gives life, power and action to the impulse of thought!”

(3) “Faith is the starting point of all accumulation of riches!”

(4) “Faith is the basis of all ‘miracles,’ and all mysteries, which cannot be analyzed by the rules of science!”

(5) “Faith is the only known antidote for failure!”

(6) “Faith is the element, the ‘chemical’ which, when mixed with prayer, gives one direct communication with Infinite Intelligence.”

(7) “Faith is the element, which transforms the ordinary vibration of thought, created by the finite mind of man, into the spiritual equivalent.”

(8) “Faith is the only agency through which the cosmic force of Infinite Intelligence can be harnessed and used by man.”

Do not be intimidated by the big words used by Napoleon Hill in his explanation of the word faith. The meanings contained in (4) and especially (6) buttress the point I want to explain in this blog post on the one secret behind answered prayers.

The word of God in Hebrews 11 verse 1 states, “To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of things we cannot see.” This statement gives a clue to the reason why even those who are not devoted to God still achieve in life! Recall Hebrews 11 verse 6 says, “No one can please God without faith, for whoever comes to God MUST have faith that God exists and REWARDS those who seek Him.”

How do you come to God? Through prayer! Nevertheless, for the prayer to answered, you MUST have faith that God exists and rewards those who seek Him. Again Hebrews 11 verse 1 states, “To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of things we cannot see.”

This simply means any thing, and absolutely anything one wants in life and is convinced in his or her mind of getting, he will surely get it whether he or she prays for it or not! Notice that the emphasis is on the word ‘convinced.’

The reason for this is quite simple: God our Father created man us out of His infinite love and mercy. God made man like Himself in image and likeness. That is why man’s spirit is said to be immortal (cannot perish), but physically in his body, man can die.

When God was to create the world, He used words (Genesis 1). As stated in the last post on this blog, another of man’s share in God’s image and likeness is in man’s ability to use words and then action to create anything he wants.

Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ confirms this point when he says in the gospel of St. Mark 11 verse 23, “I assure you that whoever tells this hill to get up and throw itself in the sea and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.”

With all I’ve said so far, do you think it is important to pray since you can get whatever you want life even if you do not pray but have faith (conviction) in what you want to achieve? It seems logical not to bother praying since there are obvious cases of those who achieve and never bother about prayer.

Our Lord Jesus Christ says further in Mark 11 verse 24, “For this reason I tell you: When you pray and ask for something, believe that you have received it, and you will be given WHATEVER you ask for.” Why does Jesus still ask us to pray when just in verse 23 he said, say what you want to achieve, believe it will be done and you will surely get it?

Jesus said it because in prayer you communicate with God in your own words when making your request. He also said this because a hidden secret most people hardly ever use when praying is the word of God. Praying with faith using the word of God makes the results come faster. Again, I say your prayers are answered faster when you pray with faith using the word of God and not just your own words!

How Do You Perceive Failure? (2)

The irony of life is that failure represents a process whereby one learns valuable lessons in trying to achieve whatever he or she sets out to attain in life. I’m not saying one should continually makes mistakes in life.

Making the same mistakes and expecting a different result in what you set out to achieve is a wrong approach.

The way you respond to the mistakes in your mind and your actions in making corrections is what is important. When you make corrections to the mistake, you are not expected to make the same mistake again.

Nevertheless, you should not rule out completely the fact that you are not to make other mistakes.

If you make the same mistake again, it simply shows you never really learned the lesson the first time. But you should not crucify yourself for that! Learn the lesson and move ahead and focus on what you want to achieve.

When you make new mistakes and make necessary corrections, you are simply gaining experience.

That is why we have the very popular saying, “experience is the best teacher.” It should be more aptly stated, “Mistakes are the best teachers”.

All said, it is usually better to learn from the mistakes of others since nobody likes to get bad news or an unpleasant result from his or her efforts.

Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates addressed the issue when he said, “Bad news can be really disheartening. When you get news of a product failure, there’s a real temptation to think, Oh, that’s as much as I want to know about that! I think I’ll go home now. I think I’ll work on something else.”

It is indeed correct that bad news can be devastating. For example, Mary Kay Ash of Mary Kay Cosmetics lost her spouse about a month to the start of her business, coupled with the fact that her banker and lawyer earlier told her to forget her idea.

Ordinarily, the death of her husband would have signaled the end of her dreams. However, she never gave up and today Mary Kay cosmetics are a household name.

You should and must find a way of overcoming bad news or an unpleasant and unexpected event for the simple fact that the pain would eventually go away with time.
There are many sources of bad news or unpleasant situations – death of a loved one, failed marriage, abandonment by a lover over a pregnancy, examination failure, rape, torture, armed robbery attack, business failure, eviction from home, loss of a job, rejection by people (e.g. music producers, publishers) from whom you seek professional help, etc.

Some of these incidents leave deep scars on one’s mind. However, if you continue to hold on to the experience it would only deepen the scar on your mind.

And if you’ve followed the posts on this blog, you should by now know the importance of avoiding negative thoughts from reaching your mind.

One way of letting go is when you understand and acknowledge the fact that the world has not ended for you; that the situation or event has happened and the pain is only temporary and will eventually go away.

In addition, you then begin to make a conscious effort at rising above the pain and moving on with your life by blocking out the associated pains of the experience and focusing on a solution.

For business people, Microsoft boss Bill Gates said further, “Once you embrace unpleasant news not as a negative but as evidence of a need for change, you aren’t defeated by it. You’re learning from it.”

He said this because as he also revealed in his book Business @ the speed of thought Microsoft has had its own share of product failures and the valuable lessons learnt were used to produce other outstanding products!

Gates further advises business people when he says, “Listen to your customers and take their bad news as an opportunity to turn your failures into the concrete improvements they want.”

It is when you understand the value of making honest mistakes and learning from them that the word failure takes a completely new meaning; not as something bad but as something that one encounters on the way to success.
When we talk of someone having experience or becoming an expert in a field, it is important to note that it cannot be positive events alone that made the person an expert.

Exposure to negative events and learning and making the necessary corrections is what makes the person become an expert to be able to proffer solutions to similar or related problems in the future.

That is precisely how Consultants emerge in any industry. They have been able to learn from their mistakes and those of others and applied the lessons to solve problems for others who encounter them.

Kyle Rote Jr., a soccer player, once said “There is no doubt in my mind that there are many ways to be a winner, but there is really one way to be a loser and that is to fail and not look beyond the failure.”

The lessons to learn from this post on failure are obvious. You need and have to change your perception of failure from now on if you want to achieve in whatever endeavor you undertake in life.

Change the wrong thinking on failure, as something to be avoided at all costs, which you were exposed to at formal school and by any other person you have ever encountered.

Embrace failure as a process or processes you learn lessons from to give you the needed experience to become an achiever in life.

Remember that there is one thing you must do when you encounter events labeled as failures on your way to achieving and beyond: never let them defeat you because you need the lessons they contain.

What should be of importance to you to focus on, always, is a solution to the problem.

I tell you in all honesty, there is ALWAYS a solution to the problem if you would look beyond the failure and apply yourself to finding a solution.

And please begin today to teach others what you’ve just learnt about failure so that you can contribute to reversing the wrong perceptions most people have about it.

I will end with an acronym on the word MISTAKES created by leadership expert and motivational speaker John Maxwell. John said mistakes are:

Messages that give us feedback about life.

Interruptions that should cause us to reflect and think.

Signposts that direct us to the right path.

Tests that push us toward greater maturity.

Awakenings that keep us in the game mentally.

Keys that we can use to unlock the next door of opportunity.

Explorations that let us journey where we’ve never been before.

Statements about our development and progress.

How Do You Perceive Failure? (1)

To many people, the above title question seems rather odd. The next logical reaction from such people would be “how on earth could I ask how one perceives failure when right from our earliest school days, we were taught to abhor failure? We heard it from teachers, parents, friends, friends’ parents, and so on and so forth.

Some of such statements were probably as follows:

(1)“you cannot afford to fail.”
(2)“ If you fail in school, you cannot get a good job!”
(3)“anyone who fails cannot amount to anything good in life”
(4) “you must get good grades in school so that you can get a good job!”

As we passed from grade school to high school to college, we kept hearing the same talk about failure over and over again that we made conscious efforts to pass our exams in flying colors.

Failure was never an option. Any of our colleagues who was unfortunate to fail was labeled a no good and was taunted in front of the class and told that he or she would never amount to anything in life.

Unfortunately, the emotional and psychological effect of such statements made some of those people taunted and intimidated accept what was told them as the truth and they just wandered through life without any achievement.

However, very few others, who never accepted such statements, tried everything possible to prove their worth. They won. They achieved. Now do you doubt what I’ve just described above?
Okay then, go study the live stories of people like Thomas Edison who contributed immensely to humanity through several inventions; Robert Kiyosaki, real estate multi-millionaire and author of several best-selling books like Rich Dad, Poor Dad; Cash Flow Quadrant; Retire Young, Retire Rich; Henry Ford who made immense wealth through the assembly and mass production of cars in Ford Motors, a company that still exists to date.

Thomas Edison had only 3 (three) months’ of formal schooling and was sent home because he could not pass in school. His mother never lost faith in him. The rest is history.

Some of Robert Kiyosaki’s teachers taunted and labeled him a no good because he could not get good grades like the top students of his class. Read his books and you would see the story of a man of achievement.

Let me make one thing very clear to you my dear friend and reader: whoever abhors failure does not really understand what it means. As master salesman and motivational speaker Zig Ziglar says, “failure is not a person but an event!” Leadership expert and author John Maxwell says, “failure is not an event but a process!”

Both statements are correct if you understand the fact that as Zig Ziglar tried to explain, it is the activity that failed and not the person, and as John Maxwell explains, failure is a part of the learning process that leads to success. Maxwell also emphasized that success is also a process because one may think he has succeeded and then relax.

Successful business people and organizations recognize the importance of viewing success as a continuous process to enable them come up with innovative ideas of growing their business. From their experience, a competitor is always thinking of ways of improving and would soon overtake them if they relax.

It is a lack of understanding of failure that makes many people wander through life in poverty and want. Because of the wrong programming we had from formal school, we see failure as something that should never be a part of us. We only want to be seen as people of achievement.

As a result, whenever failure comes, we wrongly see it as the end of the world. A true story is told of a man who was laid off along with others from his job, and guess what? He committed suicide. To the man unfortunately, the world had come to an end and he took his life as a result.

Thomas Edison said “Many of life’s failures are people who did not realise how close they were to success when they gave up.” Edison’s absolute belief in this comment was responsible for his having tried 1,000 times (yes, one thousand times) before achieving his invention of the incandescent bulb.

Edison believed as author Napoleon Hill said, “there are no limitations to the human mind, only those we acknowledge.” This simply means you are the only one who can label yourself or what you do or did as a failure. Nobody can tell you that you are a failure unless you choose to accept the statement as the truth.

The Power of Persistence

Most people usually give up at the first sign of defeat or setback in what they're trying to achieve in life. It's a normal thing for them to do. Just give up. And then turn round to complain that things never went the way they expected.

What they don't seem to realise about such attitude is contained in the words of legendary author Napoleon Hill, "Every adversity, every failure and every heartache carries with it the seed of an equivalent or even greater benefit".

There is no one on this earth who made genuine wealth or achieved fame or success in any endeavor that did not encounter difficulties along the way.
The problem with most people again, is that when they see someone who has made it genuinely, it probably never occurs to them the fact that there is a story of persistence behind the person's success.

Leadership expert and author John Maxwell stated, "the difference between average people and achieving people is their perception of and response to failure". John also stated "its not what happens to you that matters but what happens inside you."

The truth about these statements is that to achieve true, lasting and genuine wealth, fame and success, one has to change from the way of thinking that leads to failure to one that leads to success. Learning to develop persistence and applying its power is the key to changing all that!

One thing we humans need to understand is this: there will always be issues and challenges and obstacles to surmount on the road to success and even beyond. No one who has travelled that road successfully would tell you otherwise.

What is important to note however, is the fact that understanding that such challenges will occur and then still going ahead to do what we need to do to get to our life's ambition is a sure sign that we have understood and begun to develop the power of persistence.

Persistence will get you through any situation in life because it is a part of the process of getting to where you want to be. Unfortunately, a lack of understanding of this fact makes very many people give up at the sign of obstacles.

So how does one develop the power of persistence? You have a will-power given to you by God Almighty. You have an ambition of what you want in life. You have a mind you can use to create a clear mental picture using your imagination of what you intend to achieve. You have a mouth to declare into your life every single day what you want to become.

Make use of these things with absolute faith and the journey to wealth, fame and success is nearing completion for you.

Once you've understood the importance of the words in the preceding paragraph and begun applying it, nothing becomes impossible for you. Sacred scripture tells us that we were all created in God's image and likeness (Gen. 1: 26-27) . Sacred scripture also tells us that "for God all things are possible (Matt. 19: 26)."

Now I will ask you two questions, if you believe you were created in God's image and likeness, does it not mean that there are certain characteristics you share with God? One of those is the power to create using words. If that is the case, then why should temporary setbacks and obstacles debar you from achieving?

Dear friend, you have a power given to you by God in His love and infinite mercy. Use it well and it transforms into the power of persistence to achieve whatever you want in life. Now you have another wealth secret!

Make A Habit of Doing Things When You Don't Feel Like It

Zig Ziglar gave the advice contained in the title of this post when he said "Discipline yourself to do the things you need to do when you need to do them, and the day will come when you will be able to do the things you want to do when you want to do them"!

How true those words are! Come off it, there are times when we just don't feel like doing something important at the time we are supposed to do them. We procrastinate and say it will be done "later" and then it is never done.

If you want to become a person of achievement in whatever endeavor you choose, then you must make a habit of doing things when you are supposed to. All it requires is personal discipline on your part.

As Ziglar also said "you cannot feel your way into acting but you have to act your way into feeling". What this means is that to achieve in life, you should not wait until anytime you feel like carrying out any of the plans toward achieving your life's dreams, but rather, you should discipline yourself to carry out the plans as soon as the need arises and you will soon find yourself feeling good after every successful step you accomplish, which will spur you to carry on.

To develop the discipline required to acquire the habit of doing things when you don't feel like, you need to account for the hours you spend each day of your life. Now ask yourself honestly, how many hours of each day do you spend in pursuit of your current dream in life?

I'm not just talking about moving aimlessly in pursuit of your life's ambition. Recall, in one of the earlier posts on this blog, we talked about creating plans and even how to create them. That is where to focus your efforts when moving in the direction of your dreams.

Spend valuable time on activities towards achieving your life's ambition that you can reflect on at the end of each day with a sense of accomplishment. And before long, you will forever cherish the discipline you have formed as a habit because any day you did not do something valuable in the direction of your dream, you will feel somehow incomplete.

But that feeling will now spur you to action the very next day and every other day thereafter because it has now become a habit. That is one major difference between achievers and non-achievers.

There you have another wealth secret! Now get to work.

Create A Vision Of Your Heart's Desires

Last week, I wrote on how to create million dollar ideas solving human problems of whatever type in any endeavor you are passionate about. I believe since reading that piece, you've taken time to note the problems affecting humans and have come to realize that a solution does exist for any problem.

Resolve today to become a problem solver and not a person who complains about problems. You'd be amazed at how easily ideas prop into your mind.

When you have a passion about something you really want to achieve in life, one of the things you need to do to keep that fire burning is to create a vision in your mind on your intended achievement.

You really need to do this because times would surely come when events and circumstances want to make you discard that dream. I will always remind you to never forget the power of the human mind - if this is your first time reading a post on this blog, I advise you take time to study the posts from the very first one on this wealth secrets blog to understand what is being said in every other post because there is a link in all of them.

Creating a vision in your mind makes you see clearly what you are bent on attaining. It is usually done with the aid of the imagination. I believe you have at one time or the other in the past used your imagination to see things that do not yet exist and then wished it were so the way it was created in your mind.

The human imagination makes it possible for you to create and see things in your mind's eye. It is usually more effective when you have no distractions, which means a quiet place would be most ideal to exercise your mind. As an example, let's suppose your one dream is to become a star musician with fame that spans several continents.

At the time in question, you have no idea how to start and get things done. However, in your mind's eye using your imagination with your eyes closed, you can see yourself performing to a very large audience who cheer and applaud you continuously.

As simple as this process sounds, it is the same process used by men and women of great achievement. It is the vision of what they want to attain created with the aid of their imagination that drives them with determination and nothing, absolutely nothing is an obstacle to them.

Again, such individuals have come to the realization that the thoughts that DOMINATE one's conscious mind would eventually find its way to the subconscious mind and then find a way of manifesting in the physical.

The last two posts on this blog talk about creating plans for your million dollar ideas. Creating a vision of what you want to achieve in your mind keeps you focused on the activities you need to undertake on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

Whenever problems arise, rather than complain and give up, you think of ways of solving them because you know and understand that your dream is attainable since your vision gives you the picture of it in your mind. And you equally understand the importance of putting this picture as the dominating one on your mind.

There you have another wealth secret! I want to state a very important point here. You should not, however, be bothered if initially when you try creating a vision of your heart's desire using your imagination you find it difficult seeing what you most sincerely desire.

It comes with CONSTANT practice and when it does, it takes you a step closer to attaining what you sincerely desire. Start today to create a vision of what you sincerely desire in the manner described in this post, whilst carrying out your plans toward attaining it.

It would cost you absolutely nothing in terms of money to form the habit, but the benefits far outweigh whatever effort put into trying to attain the habit. And with this, anything you put your mind and effort into achieving, including building a multi-billion dollar business empire, is attainable.

How To Create Million Dollar Ideas

Last week, we spoke about creating a plan to set you on the path to achieving your life's ambition. Such plans we said come in the way of an inspiration that we have to commence without delay.

I also promised talking about other ways of creating ideas. That way is simply helping people to solve their problems. Zig Ziglar, master salesman and motivational speaker said "you can have whatever you want in life if only you can help others get what they need."

For those who have a mind set that is 'me', 'myself' and 'I', this statement from Ziglar makes but little sense. But look all around you at those who have made immense wealth in life GENUINELY. All they've done is simply solve people's problems.

Let me give you concrete examples to buttress my point. Henry Ford, with very little formal education helped solve the problem of motor car affordability by mass-producing his Ford model T car at an affordable cost to majority of his people. He made immense wealth in the process.

Orville and Wilbur Wright, two virtually unknown brothers of little education solved the problem of long distance travel within a shorter time period through air travel and also created a fortune in the process.

Mc Donalds was created to provide fast food to America's busy working population and that idea produced and continues to produce fortunes for their owners.

Thomas Edison, who had only three months of formal schooling and had to be sent away because no one except his mother had faith in him and his abilities, solved people's problems through several inventions like the Edison Dictating Machine, the incandescent bulb and so on. He equally made a fortune in the process.

Need I go on? In modern times, we have Bill Gates, a Harvard Business School drop out and owner of Microsoft, who has solved several human problems of information and communication through creation of several softwares and hardwares and is one of the world's wealthiest men.

The google search engine on the internet, created by two college graduate students Larry Page and Sergey Brin to solve the problem of information retrieval on the internet in a faster way has turned its owners into billionaires.

So what's the common thing about all these names mentioned above? They simply looked at human problems and ways of doing things at the time and proffered a solution and made fortunes in the process.Notice also that I deliberately mentioned the fact that most of the men named had but little formal education. What they had was the ability to look at human problems and create ways of solving them. Its that simple.

Recall I quoted a saying by Napoleon Hill in one of my last posts that "whatever the human mind can conceive and believe is achievable." It means these men conceived their ideas and believed it was achievable. So it is with just anyone on this earth.

You equally have the same ability, if you would just put your mind to work and conceive ways of solving human problems. It could be in anything you want. Human beings have several problems that plague them on a daily basis.
The problems between those who achieve and those who do not is that while achievers come up with ways of solving those problems by thought and belief and making fortunes in the process, non-achievers spend time complaining about those same problems.

There you have another wealth secret! Take a hard look at your environment with the eyes of a problem solver. There is a problem or a current way of doing things that could be done faster. It could be in just about anything - transportation, accommodation, internet, clothing, software, hardware, telecommunications, toys, etc, etc.

Come up with an idea that solves the problem or makes the process faster. Believe it is achievable and you are well on your way to making millions.

More wealth secrets next week.

Create A Plan To Achieve Your Heart's Desires

If you have been following the posts on this wealth secrets blog, by now you must have a definite desire as the dominating thought on your mind.

You also would have written down that desire and keep reciting it with faith or emotion and conviction every single day since you now understand and are convinced on how dominating thoughts of your mind affect your life, first in the spiritual and then in the physical.

If you are yet to do all this, what are you waiting for? You really think it is not possible? Perish that thought please! No one in this world was created to be poor. It is those who keep poverty and failure thoughts as dominating on their minds that get that exact result in the physical!

Those who keep thoughts of wealth and success as dominating on their minds also get the same result in the physical. So when you keep thoughts of your innermost desires on your heart, what next?

You MUST create a plan aimed at achieving your life's desire and begin working at it at once! That should not stop you from reciting your written statement of that you wish to achieve in life. The two must work hand in hand.

The next question you may want to ask is, how do I create a plan since I have no money? Let me tell you here and now as clearly stated by author John Maxwell, "what is important is not what happens TO you but what happens INSIDE you."

Catch the gist? Its exactly the message I'm passing across to you. Your thoughts are more important than your present circumstances. Good enough, if you've followed my advice so far with the posts on this blog, you already have a definite aim in life.

As far as this blog is concerned, I sincerely believe your aim is to achieve wealth beyond your imagination.

The beauty of the process of creating a plan towards achieving it is that your faith in your ability to achieve what you desire in life would make your subconscious mind throw back a plan or plans to you in the form of a "hunch" or an "inspiration" as stated by author Napoleon Hill. That is where you should begin from.

Of course if you cast your mind to the past, sometime in your life, you've had a hunch about something, whether good or bad. And it came to pass. In the current case, what you want is wealth or riches or something else you truly desire.

As long as your thoughts are focused on that you wish to achieve, a hunch or an inspiration is sure to come to you on a plan or plans of action, particularly at quiet moments when your mind is fully concentrated on what you want.

Begin at once to put the plan or plans into action and keep working at it. One important thing I will like to mention here is that there are times when it appears that things are not going the way you want.

Please do not think it will not happen, for it surely will. There are times when you will feel like giving up. That is where most people miss the point and then miss what they had almost gotten as their innermost desire in life.

You must have heard the very popular saying "Winners NEVER quit and quitters NEVER win."
When you understand this simple fact of life, your mind should be focused on your heart's desire for that is what will keep you going and make you find a solution to the situation.

Remember, EVERY situation has a solution. All you have to do is critically review your plan or plans and take time to modify it and come up with a solution.

If the plan or plans are not taking you in your desired direction, then you need to review it and come up with one that will take you there. But the most important thing is to keep focused on your destination, for you will surely get there when you keep moving with your plan.

As a French Sage once said, " There are no hopeless situations; there are only men and women who have grown hopeless about the situation."

I will end by also telling you that there are other ways to create such ideas. But that is a topic for next week.

Warding Off Negative Influences From Reaching Your Mind (2)

Again, like I stated in my last post and as you can see from the preceding statement, it all begins with the human mind. Whatever idea your mind is able to conceive and believe is achievable.

It has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with your level of education, your current financial status (whether poor or rich), your family background, who you know, etc, etc. It has EVERYTHING to do with you and the state of your mind.

If you conceive an idea in your mind and you believe it by faith that it is achievable, it then means that you and only you can control the thoughts that reach your conscious mind and from there to the subconscious regarding your idea.

Please note that once you allow negative influences to take over your mind either consciously or unconsciously, those thoughts would find their way to the subconscious mind and MUST find a way of expressing the results in the physical.

The next logical question to ask is, how do I ward off or prevent negative influences from reaching my conscious mind? The thing you have to do is first, write down what it is that you want to achieve in life. Please be definite about it.

Put it in writing and place it where you can see it everyday and repeat it to yourself everyday, in the morning, at times during the day and just before you retire to bed at night.

For everytime you repeat the words you have written down of what you intend to achieve in life, say it with conviction in your heart that you can achieve it. This simply means the words must be filled with faith or emotion.

After sometime, you will have memorized it and that would help you say it also during the course of the day.

Another important thing to do is to interact more with people who will encourage you in the direction of your heart's desire. I have not asked you to cut off from loved ones, friends and acquaintances who do not buy your idea on your intentions.

What you will do is to discuss all other things with them EXCEPT your desire or idea in order to prevent them from trying to fill and influence your mind negatively with their comments.

Even where they raise the issue of your innermost desire, do not get into an argument that would leave you sour or bitter with doubts ( a negative emotion that will find its way into your conscious mind and then to your subconscious mind).

You have to become quietly rebellious within your mind on your idea for the simple reason that you have come to the clear understanding that the road to wealth begins with an idea or desire conceived in one's mind and that that thought of the idea or desire is achievable ONLY where there is absolute belief or conviction on your part that it is achievable.

Thirdly, you will have to, as a serious plan, read more of inspirational books and listen to inspirational tapes because they contain amazing stories of individuals who have tread a similar path of achievement as you intend and who inspite of the challenges, were able to surmount them and achieve their aim.

In the stories contained in those tapes and books you would see exactly the same message being conveyed in this blog: desire, faith, conviction, challenges, courage, persistence and achievement.

Fourthly, you have to begin a study of sacred scriptures because contained in it are inspirational messages that lift one's spirit and builds up one's confidence, courage and faith in whatever you intend to achieve in life.

A bible story of faith and courage could be seen about Abraham and his son Isaac. God made a promise to Abraham when he was 75 years old that he would give him descendants as many as the stars of the sky (Genesis 12: 1-4).

Again God reminded Abraham of the promise when Abraham was 85 years old (Genesis 15: 1-6). Verse 6 of that chapter states that "Abraham had faith in the Lord, and it was put to his account as righteousness."

God reminded him again when Abraham was 90 years old (Gen 17:1-16) and then fulfilled the promise when Abraham was 100 years old (Gen. 21:1-5). Abraham's real test of courage and faith came when God asked him to take his ONLY son Isaac and offer as a sacrifice. Abraham trusted completely in God and without any doubt took Isaac to offer as a sacrifice.

God then provided a ram for the sacrifice, but Abraham's faith was confirmed and it counted for him! (Gen. 22: 1-14). Another story of immense courage is seen between a young inexperienced shepherd boy David and an experienced soldier Goliath who was defeated by the immense faith and courage displayed by David! (1 Samuel 17:4-53).

If you have fully understood from the last 2 posts on this blog how the human mind works, you would understand the importance of the message conveyed here.

Finally, I urge you to read the message of the last 2 posts and also pay attention to other messages in this blog. You will be glad you did.

Warding Off Negative Influences From Reaching Your Mind (1)

A great wealth secret was revealed in the last 2 posts on this blog. I really wonder how many people would take what was said there seriously and begin to implement it.

Anyway, one thing about humans is that they rarely take seriously things of value that are offered freely to them. If I were to write an e-book using the same topics on this blog and offer it for sale at a price of $500 per copy, I'm too sure the book would become a best seller.

The price would make people attach immense value to the information contained in the e-book! Anyway, the aim of this blog is for those who have open minds to put into practice the advice given here and see for themselves what unimaginable results they would acquire with time.

I needed to say all this because as you can see from the topic of today's post, we are surrounded all the time by negative influences that do not have any difficulty in reaching our subconscious minds for as long as they remain the main thoughts on our conscious minds.

It is important to point out sources of negative influences so that we can understand how to ward them off and keep ONLY positive thoughts on our minds.

One major source of negative influences is usually from the well-meaning advice and talk of our immediate family, relatives, friends and acquaintances.

Examples of such advice could come when one is about to undertake a venture that he/she believes would be a success.

The mere mention of this proposed undertaking to loved ones and acquaintances would elicit comments and responses such as:

(a) "are you sure it would work?"

(b) "others have tried this thing before you and failed; what makes you think you would succeed if you also tried it?"

(c) "nobody has ever tried that before; why not forget this crazy idea of yours and find something more useful to do with your time!"

Another source of negative influences could be from the talk of the so called experts. When athletes used to compete for the 100 metres race in the early years of the modern Olympic games, Experts in sports said nobody would be able to finish the 100 metres race in less than 10 seconds.

We are all witnesses to the fact that at the finals of the last Olympic games in Athens, Greece in 2004, five men finished the same 100 metres race in less than 10 seconds.

When Henry Ford started work on his V-8 engine, the men who worked for him said it could never be done on the same engine block. Ford told them to go ahead and produce it. For over a year his engineers struggled to get it done and eventually achieved it.

We are also witnesses to the fact that today, there are vehicles that carry a 12-cylinder or V-12 engine in one block!

Just what am I trying to convey with these examples? I borrow from the statement of legendary author Napoleon Hill where he said "whatever the human mind can conceive and believe is achievable."
